Dermody, Burke and Brown, an independently owned accounting and business advisory firm based in New York, has announced six promotions.
In the firm’s auditing and accounting arm, Alyssa Hansen and Nick Marinelli were appointed as senior associates.
Following a similar path of progression, both Hansen and Marinelli are working towards becoming certified public accountants.
Two sets of promotions have been made in the company’s tax department, with Brittany Becker and Katie Rivers named senior associates, while Greg Smith and Amie Vanderpool were appointed as senior managers.
Both members of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), Becker and Rivers will hold equal positions in the tax division’s senior leadership team.
Promoted to tax senior manager, Smith is a QuickBooks Pro Advisor and leads the “custom accounting solutions (CAS) department at the firm”.
Appointed to the same role, Vanderpool belongs to a number of institutions, including but not limited to the NYSSCPA and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Established in 1956, the accounting firm now operated over offices in Syracuse, Auburn, New Hartford, and Rome.
