Fleetcor snaps up cloud software provider

The deal supports the firm’s growth to its AP solutions portfolio

Fleetcor Technologies, a global business payments company, has acquired Roger, a global accounts payable (AP) cloud software platform, for an undisclosed sum.

The deal will extend Fleetcor’s small business AP solutions portfolio, supporting the automation of its manual payment process.

The integration will provide Fleetcor with a modern automation platform for B2B online bill payment that will help small businesses gather and scan invoices and receipts, and eliminate manual data entry through machine learning.

Moreover, it will support SMBs sync with accounting systems including but not limited to QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, and Xero.

Ron Clarke, chairman and CEO at Fleetcor, said: “This acquisition provides us with a modern, cloud based, bill payment platform that will immediately open up cross-sell opportunities into our global SMB fuel card base.

“It’s a big step in expanding our fuel card business into a corporate payments business, and extending our current middle market corporate payments business into the SMB space.”

The Fleetcor portfolio of brands currently supports small businesses automate, secure, digitize, and control payments on behalf of their employees and suppliers across North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
