The Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB) has announced the reappointment of George Scott as chair of its board.
Serving a second term which commenced on 1 January 2021, Scott’s final stint as chair will run until 31 December 2025.
A retired partner at Deloitte, Scott provides the role with over 39 years of experience at the Big Four firm.
Serving as chair of the FASAB since 1 January 2016, Scott has also held a number of positions across various industries and organizations throughout his career.
Also reappointed to the board is Gila Bronner, who will serve out her second and final term with the FASAB during the same timespan as Scott.
Bronner specializes in government efficiency and reform, auditor independence, and related accountability and internal control issues.
Currently acting as president and CEO at Bronner Group, the FASAB said that she is “highly respected by government lawmakers and regulators”.
The panel comprises the FASAB chair, three federal board members, and three individuals representing both the American Institute of CPAs and the Financial Accounting Foundation.
