CohnReznick, an advisory, assurance, and tax firm to the affordable housing industry, has announced its retention of MG Housing Strategies (MGHS), a new boutique government relations group.
Led by Bob Moss and David Gasson, MGHS will provide education and advocacy to expand federal housing resources.
These will include the low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) program, as well as programs at both the department of housing and urban development and department of agriculture.
Beth Mullen, affordable housing practice leader, said: “Bob and David are long-time members of the HousingParty advocating for affordable rental housing for all people.
“Quality housing has a positive impact on the health and welfare of residents and I look forward to continuing to work with Bob and David to increase resources for the production of rental housing for our most vulnerable Americans.”
Moss brings the partnership 34 years of affordable, multifamily housing experience specializing in a range of issues such as LIHTC syndication, preservation, and development.
Currently executive director at the Housing Advisory Group, Gasson also serves on the policy/legislative committee and has served on the tax reform working group.
MGHS will exclusively represent CohnReznick in the housing tax credit category, seeking to support the production and preservation of housing resources while analyzing guidance from federal agencies.
