Shawndel Rose has rejoined Brown Smith Wallace as a state and local tax manager in the Tax Services practice.
Rose has more than 25 years of public accounting and industry experience where she has worked in all aspects of individual and corporate taxation in a variety of industries.
In her role, she provides state and local income tax consulting and planning services, compliance review, credit and incentives compliance and consulting, as well as audit defense.
The firm added Rose “continually monitors the legislative and regulatory landscape to stay current with changing rules and regulations”.
She most recently served as a manager at RubinBrown LLP, where she was responsible for extensive state and local income tax compliance for clients of all industries. She has more than 10 years of Big Four accounting firm experience, beginning at Arthur Andersen (Andersen) and subsequently PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
Rose earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance from Illinois State University. She is a Certified Credits and Incentives Professional (CCIP) and holds a Certificate of Enrollment to Practice before the Internal Revenue Service.
