Accounting and business advisory firm Apple Growth Partners (AGP) has named Erica Ishida as president and COO at the group.
In the new role, Ishida will be tasked with charting the firm’s growth trajectory by managing the internal operations of AGP, including its talent, culture, project and change progression, teamwork, and accountability.
Ishida’s appointment as the company’s first female executive also represents an expansion of gender inclusivity in the firm and wider accounting industry.
Chuck Mullen, chairman at AGP, said: “Erica’s vast experience in leadership and team development is like none we’ve had in our firm’s history.
“Along with her impressive resume of expertise and proven results in growing and scaling businesses, her input as a female executive is necessary for our firm.”
Having joined the firm in 2020, Ishida has since shifted the group’s culture to focusing efforts on people and processes.
Previously, Ishida has acted as a C-level executive for a number of Northeastern Ohio companies, as well as running her consulting business Coconino Partners.
Mullen added: “Having Erica onboard as our firm’s president and chief operating officer provides a dual focus from our leadership team – navigating external opportunities for growth by appropriately managing internal workloads and culture development.
“With Erica on our team as president and COO, our firm is on the path of advancement.”
