Hancock Askew, a full-service audit, tax, accounting, and advisory firm has announced the appointment of Nirav Shah as the group’s new principal of IT risk and assurance.
Acting from the firm’s Atlanta office, Shah will provide additional leadership to the IT risk and assurance team.
In the role, he will be tasked with strategically growing the practice and strengthening relationships with centers of influence and industry leaders.
Michael McCarthy, managing partner at Hancock Askew, said: “Our IT risk and assurance practice has been quickly expanding over the years.
“The addition of Nirav as a leader in the group will be instrumental to the continued development of this service area and we are planning for additional growth not only in the Georgia and Florida markets, but along the Southeast and beyond.”
Specializing in both IT and business process audits/attestation and non-attestation reports, Shah brings 15 years of experience to the position.
Chad Miller, partner and risk assurance and advisory practice leader, said that Shah will provide the department with a “wealth of knowledge and experience” in the area.
He added that the appointment “brings additional leadership level talent to the team”, as well as expanding the group’s Atlanta operations.
