GoDaddy has announced the appointment of Mark McCaffery as chief financial officer (CFO) at the group effective June 2, 2021.
McCaffery joins the web hosting company from his role as partner at PwC in Silicon Valley, most recently acting as head of the Big Four firm’s US technology, media, and telecom (TMT) arm.
During his 20 years at PwC, McCaffery served as a key strategic advisor to senior executives in public and pre-public technology companies, supporting transformative periods such as IPOs and M&As.
Prior to his position in PwC’s TMT department, he acted as leader of the group’s global software practice.
Moreover, McCaffery is currently president of Kristi Yamaguchi’s Always Dream Foundation, to which he speaks on topics such as leadership, diversity, and mentorship.
Appointed alongside Michele Lau, who will act as chief legal officer (CLO) at GoDaddy, McCaffery replaces the retiring Ray Winborne and will report directly to Aman Bhutani, CEO at the company.
Speaking on both of the appointments, Bhutani said: “We are thrilled to welcome Michele and Mark to the GoDaddy team.
“Their passion for the company’s mission, extraordinary expertise and experience, demonstrated leadership strength, and cultural fit give us tremendous confidence they will help GoDaddy grow and scale to new heights.”
