Sensiba San Filippo names Tom Crotty as family office leader

The group claimed that it will now support clients in mitigating risk, streamlining processes, and decision making

Sensiba San Filippo, an accounting and business consulting firm, has announced the appointment of Tom Crotty as practice leader at the group’s family office practice.

Through the addition, the San Francisco Bay-based company is looking to expand the transformative services, processes, and technology it provides to families across the US.

The group claimed that it will now support clients in mitigating risk, streamlining processes, and decision making alongside its existing advisory, tax, and compliance services.

Crotty said: “Family office is one of the fastest growing segments in the world, yet over 70% of families dissipate their wealth by the third generation.

“My goal in joining Sensiba San Filippo is to take our practice to the next level and create a framework that delivers the insight, structure, and guidance that the families need to be part of the 30% that create a lasting legacy and maintain their wealth past the third generation.”

Providing the role with over 40 years of industry experience, Crotty has previously worked with multi-family offices and businesses in the professional services, contracting, mortgage banking, distribution, and nonprofit industries.

Frank Balestreri, consulting partner-in-charge at Sensiba San Filippo, said that the appointment is “an important step” in building upon the group’s existing services.

He added: “Tom has a deep history of bringing value and leadership to the businesses and families he’s worked with.

“We are excited for the expertise, impact and forward thinking approach Tom brings to the team, our firm and most importantly, our clients.”
