Beaird Harris appoints new managing partner to CPA practice

Paiula Allgood started with the CPA firm as an intern while attending Texas A&M University and joined full-time upon graduation

Beaird Harris has announced the appointment of Paula Allgood as the new managing partner of the firm’s CPA practice, a position formerly held by founder Pat Beaird, for the past 33 years.

While Allgood takes the helm of the CPA firm, Beaird will remain actively engaged in the practice and maintain his position as managing partner of the firm’s wealth management affiliate, Beaird Harris Wealth Management.

Allgood started with the CPA firm as an intern while attending Texas A&M University and joined full-time upon graduation. Throughout her tenure, she has made a series of advancements within the organization.

She became the firm’s first female partner in 2002 and a VP in 2005. She became an investment advisory representative in 1996 and a partner of Beaird Harris Wealth Management in 2012.

She said: “When I was 20 years old and seeking an internship, Beaird Harris stood out from other firms because of the hands-on approach and genuine care for the clients. Personal relationships with clients were the foundation of the business then and it’s still the way we do business today.

“Today, our size allows us to provide the depth of services and technical skills to meet the myriad of tax and financial challenges our clients may encounter, yet we remain small enough to maintain close relationships with our clients to help them achieve their financial goals.”

Beaird added: “Paula is a leading light, I want every person in the firm and every client to know how grateful I am for their involvement over the last 30 years. I have every level of confidence in Paula to take the firm to new heights.”
