Redw principal appointed to Arizona society of CPAs board

Appointee Chris Tyhurst has been in public accounting since 1994, joining Redw in 1996. He has extensive experience auditing and consulting with Native American tribes and their enterprises

Redw has announced that Chris Tyhurst, a principal in the firm’s Phoenix office and quality control director for Redw’s audit and consulting department, has been appointed to a two-year term with the board of directors of the Arizona Society of CPAs (ASCPA).

Tyhurst has been in public accounting since 1994, joining Redw in 1996. He has extensive experience auditing and consulting with Native American tribes and their enterprises. 

He has been a featured speaker at regional and national conferences and is the conference chair for REDW’s annual tribal finance and leadership conference. 

In addition, Tyhurst also provides audit, revenue cycle consulting and internal audit services to Native American hospitals and health centers.

Mike Allen, principal-in-charge at Redw’s Phoenix office, said: “I couldn’t be more pleased with Chris’ appointment. 

“The ASCPA board plays a vital role in shaping the priorities of the society, so Chris’ strong leadership skills, forward-thinking approach and passion for serving the CPA community are well aligned with that mission.”
