The Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA) Educational Foundation has named its officers and board directors for the coming financial year.
Announced at the group’s annual business meeting that was held virtually on May 13, those selected will be tasked with inspiring and supporting future CPAs.
Nicholas Harrison, CPA, tax managing director at KPMG in Richmond, will serve as chair of the board.
Acting as vice chairs for the same period are Scott Davis, of Prager Metis CPAs, Elizabeth Marsteller, of DHG, and Melanie Randall, of McKinney and Company.
The current vice president for finance and administration at the organization, Beth Bickford, will serve as secretary-treasurer.
Other notable board members include KPMG’s Heather Flanagan, Deloitte’s Yoland Sinclaire, and McLean’s Dianne Guensberg.
In the roles, those appointed will support the foundation in promoting business and accounting education, rewarding academic excellence, and encouraging students to pursue promising careers.
The VSPCA also provides scholarships and grants, including awarding over $50,000 in annual undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral scholarships.
