Andersen, the independent tax, valuation, financial advisory, and consulting firm, has announced the appointment of Annette Ahlers as managing director at its US national tax practice.
Ahlers brings over three decades of experience in both corporate tax issues and M&A transactions to the group’s Los Angeles office.
Prior to joining Andersen, Ahlers acted as counsel with the US law firm Troutman Pepper and has also served as a partner at EY, leading the group’s regional M&A services practice.
She has also worked as an attorney advisor at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Office of Chief Counsel.
Ellen MacNeil, managing director of US national tax at Andersen, said: “Annette’s deep experience in M&A is a welcome addition as we focus on building our team of transactions experts.
“Beyond providing outstanding client service, Annette is a great teacher and mentor. We value these attributes as an important part of our culture of stewardship.”
Dan DePaoli, US country managing director, added that with Ahlers’ addition, the firm can “continue to expand our M&A capabilities”.
