Dark Horse CPAs, an accounting and tax firm, has announced the appointment of Sarah Schiewe as an accelerator at the group’s principal accelerator program.
Schiewe was selected for the role due to her “extensive experience” in tax, accounting, and bookkeeping experience for small to mid-sized businesses, as well as her expertise in supporting individuals with complex tax situations.
Through the Dark Horse accelerator program, Schiewe will be placed through a training program, in turn gaining resources and support in building a scalable book of business.
She said: “My move to Dark Horse was honestly a really simple decision. I knew I wanted more freedom and flexibility with my work schedule, as well as a lot more ownership over my client base.
“Dark Horse gives me that autonomy while also providing the resources and support of a CPA community. For me, it was a win-win.”
Earning her CPA license in 2013, Schiewe has spent 11 years in public accounting with a mid-sized regional CPA firm.
During her professional career, she has provided accounting and tax support to a wide range of individuals and entities
Chase Birky, CEO and founder of Dark Horse, said: “Sarah brings a unique passion to her work that is the product of a lifelong love of numbers.
“You can see this passion in her work and how she communicates with clients, all of whom will be lucky to have the opportunity to work with her.”
