The Indiana CPA Society (INCPAS) has announced the promotion of Courtney Kincaid to president and CEO of the organization.
Succeeding the outgoing Jennifer Briggs, Kincaid was selected for the role by the INCPAS board of directors’ executive committee.
Kincaid will now act as the organization’s sixth CEO in its 106-year history, having joined the society staff in 2006.
During her time at the society, she has served as communications specialist, membership and volunteer manager, senior manager for member services, director of membership and engagement, and vice president of strategic initiatives.
She said: “I look forward to serving the society as the president and CEO, something I never imagined when I first started working at INCPAS 15 years ago.
“It’s truly a unique opportunity. I’ve worked very closely with Jennifer, our leadership team and board to craft a strategic vision for the future of the profession, and I’m excited to see what we can achieve together.”
Erland Porter, chair of the group’s executive committee, added: “As the vice president of strategic initiatives, Courtney developed experience guiding and measuring society objectives.
“The executive committee anticipates she will be an exceptional leader for both members and staff, and we wish her the best in her new position as president and CEO.”
