MarksNelson, a Kansas City accounting firm, has announced the appointment of Shari Fox as the group’s newest partner.
Fox joins from her own tax consulting company, Fox Tax Consulting, which specializes in outsourcing income tax provision services, as well as providing tax educational and training consulting offerings.
Prior to establishing her own business, Fox worked across a number of levels at a Big Four firm, before teaching accounting at the University of Kansas.
Josh Beck, managing partner at MarksNelson, said: “Shari’s experience, expertise, and thoughtful approach will certainly benefit our clients.
“Her entrepreneurial spirit and professional training background will contribute to our firm’s exciting growth story,”
Fox said that there were three key reasons for her to join MarksNelson, starting with the “cohesiveness of the partners and the teamwork across departments”.
She added: “Second, there’s an openness to new ideas and solutions to meet clients’ evolving needs.
“Lastly, I appreciate that MarksNelson is locally owned, which provides the ability to make quick decisions without having to work through the hierarchy often found in larger firms.”
