Whitley Penn has announced that its audit manager Alba Soltero recently received the ‘Outstanding Committee Chair’ award and took office as chapter director odessa of the Texas Society of CPAs Permian Basin Chapter (TXCPA Permian Basin).
TXCPA Permian Basin held its first organizational meeting in May of 1949. The chapter now serves more than 500 members through 21 counties throughout West Texas.
The group is focused on “empowering members” in the Permian Basin to “lead and succeed”.
Soltero has more than six years of audit experience primarily with clients in the manufacturing and distribution, oil and gas, employee benefit plans, and nonprofit industries.
She is also a member of Petroleum Accountants Society of the Permian Basin and serves as the program and technical speakers officer for the board of directors.
Felix J. Lozano, director of audit and partner at Whitley Penn, said: “Alba has made a tremendous impression within both our audit practice and her community. By being awarded for her service last year and appointed to serve in an even greater capacity this term, her dedication to the chapter’s success is evident.”
