Whitley Penn has announced the appointment of Marcel de Chermont, as a director in the firm’s forensic litigation and valuation services group in the group’s Houston office.
Prior to joining Whitley Penn, de Chermont spent several years with a large law firm where he represented various publicly traded energy companies that are prominent in the space.
Most recently he was the founder and managing member of The de Chermont Law Firm.
In addition, he served as counsel to C-suite executives focusing on providing “various entities” with the expertise needed on matters including supply chain contracts, commercial issues, corporate governance, IP issues, employment matters and other areas “effecting core strategy”.
Furthermore, de Chermont earned his LL.B. in Law from the University of Strathclyde, his J.D. from the South Texas College of Law, and his M.B.A in Energy and Finance from Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business.
