Ghazi is a principal in RSM’s risk consulting practice and has more than 20 years of experience serving clients with their security and privacy needs

RSM US has announced that Tauseef Ghazi will serve as the firm’s security and privacy risk leader.

As part of his new role, Ghazi will become a member of the firm’s risk consulting leadership team. He will focus on growing RSM’s security and privacy practice and helping RSM’s clients “capitalize on the opportunities to bolster their cybersecurity and privacy programs through effectively managing risks”.

The practice focuses on cyber strategy, risk and compliance, tactical security evaluations, digital forensics, data privacy and the growing considerations regarding cyber transformation and implementations. Ghazi will also oversee the firm’s managed security operations center, as well as the virtual chief information security officer (CISO) team.

John Brackett, national risk consulting leader with RSM US, said: “With security and privacy playing such a significant role in today’s business environment, it’s critical that we have a forward-thinking leader like Tauseef.

“Risk is constantly evolving within this area, and having a well-rounded leader in Tauseef who understands how to navigate these complexities and bring real solutions to our clients is critical. From understanding global security and privacy regulatory complexities to navigating a complex incident response situation, he has demonstrated a commitment to bringing the best in class to serve our clients in the toughest of situations.”

Ghazi is a principal in RSM’s risk consulting practice and has more than 20 years of experience serving clients with their security and privacy needs.

During his career, he has served as a “trusted advisor” to many boards, executive teams and audit committees on complex security issues and remediation roadmaps that are aligned with organizational and information technology strategies.

Ghazi added: “Investments in disruptive innovation continue to be a trend. Cybersecurity should match these investments to ensure that there is a balance between managing risks while adopting innovative technology to enhance the core business.

“As technology and protective measures evolve for the better, the sophistication and creativity of the threats is ever-increasing in parallel. In my new role, I will focus on evolving RSM cyber services for the future and serve as a steward to help our clients build a stronger cyber ecosystem.”
