Yount, Hyde, and Barbour (YHB), a firm of CPAs and consultants, has announced the completion of a merger with fellow CPA group Rowles and Company.
The deal marks an expansion into Maryland for YHB, with Rowles’ Baltimore office becoming YHB’s ninth location.
Moreover, the transaction strengthens the group’s position as a multiregional accounting firm, as well as expanding its expertise in serving credit unions.
Scott Moulden, managing partner at YHB, said: “With the inclusion of Rowles to YHB, we are excited to say we are officially a Maryland firm.
“We already serve many financial institutions, construction firms, and not-for-profits in Maryland.”
He added: “Finding a partner with a similar culture and skillset to officially plant roots in the neighboring state is a win-win for everyone.
“We are confident our passionate client service and dedication to our team members will help us serve the great people of Maryland.”
Founded in 1928, Rowles specialises in servicing financial institutions, engineering and architecture firms, small businesses, not-for-profits, individuals, estates, and trusts across Maryland and Washington DC.
Stephen Halpern, managing partner at the company, said: “We have worked alongside them over the years at shared financial institution clients, so we are familiar with the quality of their work.
“Finding another firm with the dedication to client relations, community and staff was what helped make this decision easier.”
