BDO USA has announced revenue of $2bn (£1.5m) for the 12-month period ending April 30, 2021, representing a year-over-year increase of 10.9%.
This is the ninth consecutive year of growth for the firm.
In fiscal year 2021, BDO combined with nine organizations, opening offices in new markets, “deepening its presence in existing markets and adding new strategic offerings to complement existing services”.
Its expansion strategy contributed to revenue increases across all business lines, with advisory and tax seeing an increase in revenue of 17.1% and 17% respectively, as they responded to pandemic-related demand for services.
Assurance (3%) also demonstrated growth thanks to an “agile embrace” of remote technology which enabled uninterrupted service delivery.
Wayne Berson, CEO of BDO USA, said: “Amid the uncertainty and complexity of the past year, I’m proud that our people continued to adapt and innovate.”
Kelly Johnson, chair of the board of directors of BDO USA, said: “Despite the pressures facing our industry, the broader business community and our nation at large, Wayne and the entire BDO USA leadership team have continued to guide our growth strategy.
“By expanding into new markets and strategically adding services – while still delivering organic growth among our existing business lines – BDO USA has become a $2bn firm.”
