Meaden and Moore (M&M), an accounting and business consulting group, has acquired Ohio-based accountancy firm Long, Cook and Samsa (LCS), for an undisclosed sum.
The strategic acquisition sees over 20 staff members from the two companies combine to work together at M&M’s Wooster office.
Through the transaction, M&M will gain further experience in attest, tax preparation, business consulting, and litigation services.
James Carulas, CEO at M&M, said: “Both firms share an ongoing discipline of learning, curiosity, and an entrepreneurial spirit which allows us to deliver the solutions and guidance our clients have come to expect.
“Furthermore, it demonstrates Meaden & Moore’s commitment to meeting the accounting, tax and business advisory needs of businesses and individuals throughout Wayne, Holmes, and Ashland Counties, and expands our presence in a community we have been part of since 1965.”
Greg Long, founder and managing partner at LCS, said that the two firms “share a culture committed to client service”, adding that through the takeover the group will now “offer expanded resources” to its clients.
