Crowe acquires Californian cloud consulting firm

Expected to be completed on October 1, 2021, the deal will see Upaya co-founders Bhavna and Kapil Argawal join Crowe as principal and managing director respectively

US-based public accounting, consulting, and technology group Crowe has announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire cloud consulting firm Upaya for an undisclosed amount.

Expected to be completed on October 1, 2021, the deal will see Upaya co-founders Bhavna and Kapil Argawal join Crowe as principal and managing director respectively.

Based in Palo Alto, California, Upaya serves clients across a range of industries, including software, financial services, manufacturing, wholesale distribution, education, nonprofit, retail, sports, and healthcare.

Mark Baer, CEO at Crowe, said: “Upaya deepens our expertise in Oracle® NetSuite solutions and has a strong foothold in Silicon Valley and strategic international markets.

Through the transaction, Crowe has established a Philippines subsidiary via the creation of a new Manila office.

Baer added: “In addition to helping us better serve our clients whenever they may need support, our new Manila office offers an exciting chance for Crowe to expand our talent in the Philippines.”
