Grant Thornton has named Rashada Whitehead as the group’s US national managing director of culture, immersion, and inclusion.
Following the appointment to the newly created role, Whitebread will join the company’s national leadership team (NLT).
While continuing to act as head of colleague experience, people, and community at Grant Thornton, Whitehead will now also be tasked with leading the firm’s NLT diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) task force.
Brad Preber, CEO at the group, said: “In recent years, Grant Thornton has made great progress toward building a distinctive, people-focused culture. Rashada has played an integral leadership role in that work.
“We know there is even more we can do to further strengthen our culture and our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, and her leadership, experience and compassion will help us advance this seminal work.”
Providing over 15 years of senior leadership experience to the role, Whitehead joined Grant Thornton in 2019.
Prior to her appointment at the group, she has managed global communications for Fortune 500 companies and acted as CEO of a national public relations firm and a reputation management and culture transformation group.
Mike Monahan, national managing principal at the firm, said: “Rashada puts people at the center of everything she does.
“She knows exactly how to amplify her colleagues’ voices in the most powerful, impactful ways possible, and she has helped each of us become greater stewards of our firm’s inclusive future.”
