Grant Thornton has named Seth Siegel as the firm’s CEO-elect, with his role due to commence on August 1, 2022.
Siegel is set to succeed Brad Preber in the position, who is retiring after almost two decades of leadership roles at the firm on July 31, 2022.
Appointed by Grant Thornton’s partnership board, Siegel’s selection was then ratified by the company’s partners and principals.
Jim Wittmer, chairman of the partnership board at the group, said: “Seth is the ideal person to lead our firm during a time of rapid change in our profession.
“He combines a deep understanding of the challenges our clients face with a focused vision for our future that will accelerate our growth and empower our people to deliver the value and quality our clients expect and deserve.”
Siegel provides more than 25 years experience at Grant Thornton to the position, and currently serves as managing partner for South Florida.
A member of the partnership board, he was appointed partner in 2006 and acted as Grant Thornton’s audit practice leader from 2012 to 2019.
Siegel said: “At Grant Thornton, we believe in making business more personal and building trust into every result. I intend to do just that as CEO, focusing in equal parts on how we serve clients and the value we deliver to them.
“My goal is to lead our team in helping our clients solve the issues of today while preempting the business challenges of tomorrow.”
