Clayton and McKervey, a certified public accounting and business advisory firm, has announced the promotions of Ben Smith and Dave Van Damme to shareholders.
Previously senior managers at the firm, the pair will now act as members of the group’s 12-member ownership team, effective September 1, 2022.
Leader of the firm’s consulting practice, Smith also runs Clayton and McKervey’s technology initiatives, and provides 14 years of company expertise to the new role.
Van Damme joined the group a year after Smith, and works within the firm’s advisory and assurance team.
Rob Dutkiewicz, president of the company, said that he is “excited” to see the “vision and passion” of the duo and how it will “shape the future of the firm”.
He added: “I am proud to welcome Ben and Dave to the team of owners and look forward to the positive impact they will bring to our clients, colleagues and community.
“They are both phenomenal leaders with a strong dedication to this profession. Ben and Dave will positively impact Clayton & McKervey as they have since they joined the firm.”
