Armanino extends South Californian footprint with BCWS acquisition

The transaction, which is scheduled to close on November 1, will see the partners and employees of the South Bay company merge into Armanino’s operations

Accounting and business consulting firm Armanino has announced the acquisition of Brigante, Cameron, Watters and Strong (BCWS) for an undisclosed sum.

The transaction, which is scheduled to close on November 1, will see the partners and employees of the South Bay company merge into Armanino’s operations.

BCWS will in turn trade as Armanino, adding a new Torrance office to the group’s South California footprint, which now spans a portfolio of six.

Matt Armanino, CEO at the company, said: “BCWS is well-respected in the South Bay business community, because they emphasize the importance of understanding clients and guiding them with long-term strategy above and beyond the competition.

“They share our commitment to client service and entrepreneurial thinking, which makes them the perfect fit to lead our efforts in the South Bay-Long Beach market.”

Through the combination, BCWS will be able to offer its clients an expanded suite of accounting and consulting offerings via Armanino’s tax practice.

John Cameron, partner at BCWS, added: “Joining with Armanino comes as a strategic decision to meet the growing needs of our increasingly sophisticated clients.

“Client service has always been our touchstone, and joining Armanino creates new ways for us to take our relationships with clients to the next level.”
