FTC appoints new vice president and investment officer

John Morey, head of business development, said Shepler will continue to develop FTC’s capabilities through his ‘significant investment and wealth management expertise’

Fiduciary Trust Company has announced the appointment of Chris Shepler as a vice president and investment officer.

According to the firm, Shepler brings over 25 years of investment and wealth management experience to Fiduciary Trust, set to join the firm from the Endowments and Foundations practice at Cambridge Associates.

It revealed Shepler had previously led a “client-facing” team for quantitative solutions at MSCI, Inc., and raised capital as the chief financial officer (CFO) of Porticus Technologies. 

FTC also said Shepler earlier served as a venture capital investor and wealth advisor to “high-net-worth” families at Bainco International Investors.

John Morey, head of client service and business development, said: “We are very pleased to have Chris join our team at Fiduciary Trust. His significant investment and wealth management expertise will be valuable to our clients and further expand our firm’s capabilities.”
